In this re-branding project for Boombox, the music block of the ‘Boomerang Latin America’, adolescent created an world where sonic energy ricochets from musicians, to other musical tools, gaining force throughout the spot. We delivered a diverse look for the sub brands within the Boombox family for multi-platform use.

adolescent joined Social Media Week and mass collaborators Mutopo to create an opening film for an international conference, which was held in six major cities around the world and brought people together to discuss the impact of social media; from Facebook to crowdsourcing. We created a quirky opening, showing shapes and objects mingling around, absorbing information from their social interactions. The film was shown at MOMA, the New York Times Building, JWT NYC and more. Socialmediaweek.org

We worked with Madison Square Garden Entertainment (MSGE) to create event campaign spots, sponsored by American Express, showcasing concert performances by famous artists at its NYC venues. Our team created glowing sound pollens that find a home in at MSGE, where a crowd is waiting for a concert to begin. The campaign is running across the Big Apple, from the big screen to taxi TV’s.

adolescent created three branding animations for WHUDAFUXUP? with Arnold Worldwide, a youth-focused anti-smoking campaign from TRUTH

adolescent created the promotional look for Puma’s heritage collection, Rudolf Dassler, named after the company’s founder. Our fully integrated campaign included online Look Books, in-store displays and branded short films for the collection’s international launch: Rebel Rebel and Back to the Future.

adolescent was honored to collaborate with Spike Lee and Spike DDB to celebrate the King of Pop’s birthday at Brooklyn’s Prospect Park. adolescent’s visuals for the jumbo-screen remixed iconic MJ images, like his glove, and military-themed jacket, with titles of ? and lyrics from – his biggest hits. Designed to get the crowd …Startin’ Somethin’, more than 20,000 MJ fans danced and sang together at Spike’s Michael Jackson Brooklyn Tribute, which gained international attention.

adolescent made it crystal clear that HBO is what to watch for the best in entertainment. There’s more than meets the eye in these adolescent campaign spots, featuring the best and the brightest on HBO.

adolescent collaborated with Ghost Robot to create bright, futuristic, geometric patterns integrated with the architecture of old Brooklyn to signal ‘Change’ in Daniel Merriweather’s breakout music video. The song, produced by Mark Ronson, reached the top 10 on the UK charts.

This adolescent original short film showcases our sense of humor when faced with unfathomable odds. Mixing animation and live action, adolescent created a charming yet sarcastic short film, Mogura (or Mole). Our character keeps moving forward to try and escape life’s many obstacles, only to find out it’s part of a bigger picture.

MTV US and UK have always come to us with fun, challenging briefs to promote one of music culture’s leading brands. We’ve collaborated with this team on the MTV Movie Awards, seasonal IDs, new show launches and promo campaigns. Our favorite collaborations include designing MTV Dance’s If Your Name’s Not Down and Galaxy Chart.

adolescent created animated spots with original characters for Nickelodeon?s cartoon network NickToons.
The series of vignettes were based on the idea “VS” (versus), where unlikely characters face off in bizarre places for unknowable reasons. The absurd, adrenalin-driven scenarios are unpredictable and even include alternate endings to keep kids surprised. The short film was featured at the Pictoplasma character animation festival in New York City and won a Creativity award.

Discovery asked adolescent to create a series of graphic packages to launch it?s Extreme Logger and Swamp Logger reality shows. We glimpse into the harsh life of tough loggers who harvest hard-to-reach lumber in weather 20° below zero to the swamp of the Deep South.

Adolescent has worked on both sides of the Atlantic with VH1 US and VH1 UK on branding, ID’s, image spots, promos, seasonal campaigns and quickies with musical and celebrity twists. The team at VH1 came to us with crazy titles that gave us hooks to create over the top graphics to entertain their audience. Some of our favorites include VH1 100 Concerts in 100 Days, VH1 UK seasonal IDs, Top 70 of the 70’s, Radio Ga Ga and the reality show, Wannabe.

adolescent created animated IDs to introduce night block programming for the British pop video channel TMF.

adolescent re branded the on-air look of SVT1, Sweden’s national TV station with general, themed and seasonal IDs, navigation and promotion graphics. We reflected the many facets of the channel’s diverse content, with our Mirror Room concept. We placed a variety of graphics and live action elements in a 3D mirror environment to create information and promotional graphics, as well as ID’s for the channel. The graphics were produced in different ‘moods’; from ethereal to dramatic. Our work embodied the vitality of the national network in a way that resonated with its audience.

adolescent created tongue-in-cheek, on-air show, promo and event packages for CMT including Country Fried Home Videos, Southern Fried Flicks, Bandits vs. Smokies and Miss America. Each package has a unique All-American with a southern tilt to it, aimed at putting a smile on the face.

adolescent did a full rebrand for TeenNick, part of Nickelodeon’s celebrity hosted block. Our Patterns and Badges concept featured talent and colorful TeenNick graphics, placed in the context of real-world kids’ environments, filmed by us. This included new looks for all the shows. We developed this theme for multi platform promotional campaigns.

In this re-branding project for Boombox, the music block of the teen channel ‘Boomerang Latin America’, adolescent created an environment where sonic energy ricochets from musicians, to other musical tools, gaining force throughout the spot. The collision of energy represents the essence of Boombox. The abstract, graphic shapes contain textures, patterns, drawings and photographic elements that reflect a music-inspired teen lifestyle. We created different themes and a mixed-media look for the sub brands within the Boombox family for multi-platform use.

We collaborated with TeenNick to conceptualize, design, direct and animate two image spots, highlighting the many facets of the teen spirit. The spot, called Gossip, features 3D and 2D abstract graphics that create optical illusions. Stylized origami shapes unfold to reveal cool teens enjoying their freedom, hanging out, dancing and flirting. The In The Fold spot showcases the stars of Gigantic and the hit series Degrassi. In a playful, surreal take on a regular photo shoot, the stars interact and reshape their world, with the help of 3D and tactile animations.

We celebrated Pernod Ricard’s accomplishments with a short branded film with Amsterdam Worldwide.

We’re proud to have worked with the United Nations to create a campaign marking the ‘International Year of Forests’ (IYF). Through the concept, ‘Forest in Everyday Life’, we demonstrated how we are closely connected to, and reliant upon forests by integrating elements from the IYF logo in the design. An illustrated leaf and pollen travel through different settings, which transform into a lush mini forest. The items eventually find a new home, – as part of the IYF logo. This was shown in all major UN events including the UN General assembly.

Centric is part of the MTV/BET family. adolescent has worked with the Centric team since the channel’s launch, to create music-themed block graphics as well as show and promotion spots that illustrate the diversity of Black Soul music and culture. Our packages include, Soulphrodisiac, a concept inspired by the sexy soul of Quiet Storm radio, Island Lime and Centric’s Hot 10.

It’s said that ‘one person’s loss is another one’s gain’. These words ring true for a woman who is confronted with a devastating situation: the loss of her face. Driven to madness, she captures a victim and uses whatever means she can to get what she wants in the mixed media short film, Mask. This film explores themes of horror and dark desire.

Discovery Times Square is no stranger to big news; it’s located in what used to be the headquarters for The New York Times. adolescent created a short film, which was projected in Discovery Times Square’s main entrance, that linked the museum?s ground-breaking exhibits to the building?s journalistic legacy. Old, behind-the-scenes photographs are mixed with modern typeface to celebrate the museum?s heritage. adolescent has made films for other Discovery Times Square exhibitions, including

PEAK is an adolescent original story inspired by the everyday frustrations of being a creative. We created a short film about the difficulties of working life and the struggles endured by ambitious people who are trying to get to the top – the PEAK. We made an obstacle course from random objects found around the studio. Step by step, we follow the characters as they make the long and treacherous journey to the top of the heap. adolescent has collaborated with Nickelodeon since our inception. We’ve completed hundreds of projects, in many areas, including: on-air branding, on-air promotions, show launches, events, sponsorship, cross-channel promotions, marketing, advertising, online, print, style guides, exhibitions, trade shows and product development. Our highlights include the ‘Kids? Choice Awards 2008′ on-air package, the ‘Worldwide Day of Play’ campaign; designing the launch for the show ‘iCarly’ and rebranding Nick at Nite and Nick Summer ID’s.

We collaborated with Ad.com’s ECD, Kensui Arao for Animal Planet’s new pet food launch campaign for the Japanese market. Our goal was to reinforce the belief that animals deserve the same quality of food as our kids. We created tactile, hand drawn animations of wild animals from around the world, with a loving feel, reflecting the connection the boy shares with his loyal companion.

We created 10 ‘Profile in Style’ short films exclusive to ‘T’, The New York Times Style Magazine’s website (www.tmagazine.com). Profiles included: Karl Lagerfeld, Chloe Sevigny and Agnes.B.
